If you use Internet Explorer you can change your skin. Skins are a fun way of personalizing your Web browsing experience. Available in nearly any design, color and theme under the sun, skins are background images for your Web browser. They work particularly well with Internet Explorer. If you want something more than the standard white-and-gray background on your browser and enjoy customizing things, then you need to install some skins on Internet Explorer.
Steps to Follow
- Go to your favorite search engine using Internet Explorer and type 'Internet Explorer Skins' into the search field. You will be presented with a number of Web sites that have Internet Explorer skins you can download and install.
- Check the requirements for the skin you want to download. Some skins will only work if you have previously downloaded an enhancement program for Internet Explorer such as Hotbar (see Resources below).
- Click on your selection to download it to your computer. Follow the download instructions provided by the site. Different sites for skins may have differing download instructions. In general, however, downloading will take no more than a few minutes.
- Restart your browser if required.
