By default, Windows Internet Explorer limits the number of files that you can download at one time. For example, Internet Explorer 8 limits the number to six at one time. In fact, you can increase the limited number to 10 by modifying a registry key.

2. Locate the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\InternetExplorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_MAXCONNECTIONSPERSERVER
3. Right-click on the blank area which is on the right of the window. Select "New" -> "DWORD(32-bit) Value". A "New Value #1" is created.
4.Double-click the "New Value #1", and add the following registry values:
Value name: iexplore.exe
Value data: 10
Base: Decimal
5.Click "OK" when it's done.
