There are times when you need to view the content of a website while your computer is not connected to the internet. To do that, you need to Work Offline. This tutorial shows how to do this in Internet Explorer 8.On Internet Explorer's File menu is a "Work Offline" item that toggles Internet Explorer between online and offline modes of operation.
When Internet Explorer is set to the offline mode, clicking on hyperlinks and updating channels that refer to online content causes a dialog box to appear asking if Internet Explorer should connect to the network to download the requested content. If the connection is made, Internet Explorer will automatically change from offline mode to online mode for the remainder of the session or until you reselect Work Offline.
Steps to Follow
- Click the File menu
- Click the Work Offline command
- Internet Explorer now shows that you are viewing the webpage offline
Note: If you want to have the internet connection back.Go to file menu> uncheck work offline
